Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) electrical disconnect placards designed for ESS, PV, and multi-source electrical systems. These red-on-yellow placards are used to identity all of the solar disconnects within the solar installation, with the most common configuration being three disconnects (main panel breaker, AC Disconnect and the ESS Disconnect).
Fire department disconnect placards are required by the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) on all solar and energy storage installations to identify the location and function of each electrical disconnect for emergency responders. The standard residential solar-plus-storage configuration requires three disconnect placards: main panel AC breaker, AC disconnect, and ESS disconnect.
Planset Signs fire department placards are produced in the LACoFD-specified red-on-yellow colourway in the dimensions and formats defined in the LACoFD Guide for ESS, PV, and Disconnects (Rev 3, 2023). Made on Rowmark UltraGrave acrylic with engineer-grade outdoor adhesive, same-day shipping from stock.
If your AHJ follows a different fire department standard — LAFD, OFD, or another municipal department — contact us with the specification. We are familiar with fire department requirements across California and can produce matching placards to order.
